Chapter 10 Dips & Spirals
In this chapter we explore two of the more complex phenomena associated with self-efficacy and how as leaders we can help ourselves and others successfully deal with them. We will firstly investigate the unavoidable dips in confidence caused by change and other factors before then examining how the reciprocal relationship between self-efficacy and performance creates amplifying upward or downward confidence spirals.
"The first step in spiral management is being aware that you or someone you lead is in one."
